The Shimano Tyrnos has been an integral part of the Shimano fishing range for many years.
This Tyrnos 30 is a single speed reel with a die cast aluminium frame and an oversized ergonomic power handle for optimal strength and performance. The 5.0:1 gear ratio gives great retrieval speed topping out at a massive 114cm per crank. Pumping out 15kg of silky smooth drag this is perfect for those anglers looking at a deep dropping reel to target those tasty reef critters, or for those slow trolling livebaits or bibbed lures for kingfish. Additionally, this is often used as a light trolling reel for skipjack, albacore and will even be able to handle the occasional striped marlin if one happens to jump on!
The strong and durable Shimano Aquatip rod is made of a solid glass blank with an integrated tip. The 24kg line rating makes it the perfect pairing with the Tyrnos 30 as it allows you to perform all the fishing techniques mentioned previously.
